The ReSTEM Institute: Reimagining & Researching STEM Education

The ReSTEM Institute creates opportunities for students, teachers, and schools to collaborate with STEM specialists, education researchers, professional development providers as well as STEM disciplinary experts (i.e., scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians). ReSTEM outreach efforts include:

  • collaborating with K-12 school personnel to affect change in local STEM education systems,
  • creating opportunities for teachers to develop their knowledge for teaching and teaching practices,
  • improving learning opportunities for students who represent underserved and underrepresented groups including rural populations, and
  • creating new opportunities for all students to link informal STEM learning opportunities to their school experiences.
